Located on 7.5 acres oceanfront, Amrit unites the ancient inner-science of the East and Western technology for personalized luxury that promotes mindful living with unlimited potential. Utilizing the time-honored practice of Eight Limbs of Patanjali with Five Pillars of Wellness (Mindfulness, Nutrition, Fitness, Relaxation and Sleep), Amrit's 24/7 Personal Wellness Advisors work with guests to identify their Personalized Roadmap to Wellness. Amrit's two towers, Peace and Happiness comprise 182 wellness residents, 153 wellness resort suites including 30 destination spa suites, chlorine free pools, natural bistro with teaching kitchen, farm to table restaurant, meeting/celebration space, hair-health full service salon, outdoor activities/experiences and 100,000 sf of wellness and spa spread over four floors indoors and out. Overview

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for the planning and implementation of the nutrition care of the patients in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations, clinical guidelines, and policies and procedures. The dietitian, in collaboration with the Culinary Services Manager, ensures high quality nutrition care is provided to the patients through oral, enteral, and parenteral nutrition therapy. We are dedicated to providing our guests with a holistic approach to health and well-being. Our mission is to enhance the lives of our clients through personalized wellness programs that include nutrition, fitness, and relaxation. We are currently seeking a Licensed Registered Dietitian to join our team and help our guests achieve their health and nutrition goals.

Responsibilities

  • Nutritional Assessment: Conduct comprehensive assessments of guests' dietary habits, health conditions, and wellness goals to create individualized nutrition plans.
  • Customized Nutrition Plans: Develop and implement personalized nutrition programs that align with the guests' needs, preferences, and dietary restrictions.
  • Nutritional Counseling: Provide one-on-one and group nutrition counseling sessions to educate guests on healthy eating habits, portion control, and mindful eating practices.
  • Menu Planning: Collaborate with our culinary team to create spa menus that are nutritionally balanced, delicious, and aligned with dietary guidelines.
  • Nutritional Education: Offer workshops, seminars, Cooking Classes with the Chef and wellness classes to educate guests and staff about the importance of nutrition and its impact on overall well-being.
  • Monitoring and Follow-up: Continuously monitor guests' progress, adjust nutrition plans as needed, and offer ongoing support and motivation to help them achieve their health and wellness goals.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of guest assessments, nutrition plans, and progress reports in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Stay Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest nutrition research, trends, and guidelines to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotels Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
  • Comply with Highgate Hotels Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to cross-train in other hotel related areas.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest or operational needs.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications

Education & Experience: 

 

  • Fulfillment of current State licensing requirements.
  • 2-year spa experience required.
  • Knowledge of additional therapies desired.
  • Bi-lingual preferred.
  • CPR Certification preferred.
  • Maintain current licenses and certifications as required.
  • Licensed Dietitian: Must hold an active license as a Registered Dietitian (RD) in the state of Florida.
  • Education: Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Previous experience in clinical nutrition or spa/wellness settings is preferred.
  • Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with guests, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Caring and Compassionate: A genuine passion for helping individuals improve their health through nutrition.
  • Adaptability: Ability to tailor nutrition plans to meet various dietary preferences, restrictions, and cultural considerations.

 

Physical requirements:

  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift.
  • Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
