Overview

To provide quality Food & Beverage service to guests in accordance with hotel standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Abide by all Hotel Policies & ensure that the County of Maui Liquor Laws are being adhered to & enforced. Ensure all sanitation procedures are followed, to provide a clean & safe environment from which we provide quality products to our guests

Responsibilities

  • Be prompt & in proper uniform at the start of the shift
  • Friendly prompt and correct delivery of food to the guests
  • Responsible for all Opening and closing duties
  • Monitoring of guest’s alcohol consumption per Maui Liquor Commission
  • Must ensure the workplace is clean and organized before, during, and after the shift
  • Answer questions and make recommendations of menu items.
  • Insure good employee morale and a productive work environment
  • Issue checks and accept payment for them. Ensure the accurate posting of transactions
  • Additional projects and events as assigned by management
  • Attend departmental meetings

  • Must possess a valid Driver`s License
  • Must possess TB clearance
  • Ability to read & interpret recipes, safety guidelines, operating & maintenance instructions, & procedural manuals
  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent
  • Ability to remember menu items descriptions and make suggestions.
  • Must be able to interact with diverse personalities and culture.
  • Ideal candidate has previous food service preparation experience in a restaurant or similar setting
  • As a condition of employment, candidate must be able to satisfy all pre-employment screenings, such as criminal background checks.
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time and engage in considerable physical activity on a consistent basis.

Rate of pay:  $14/hour + tips
