TradeWinds is looking for a Restaurant Manager responsible for ensuring exemplary service and perfect plates to each and every Guest.  This is done through coaching, training, leadership and oversight of all day to day outlet operations.  To be successful in this role you’ll manage day-to-day operations, which includes verifying that the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the guests on a daily basis, maintaining the operating budget, and verifying that standards and legal obligations are followed. Additional responsibilities includes developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work, with specific focus on daily checklists, guest comment card review and compliance. 

Restaurant Manager is expected to market ideas to promote business; reduce employee turnover; maintain revenue and payroll budgets; and meet budgeted productivity while keeping quality consistently high.  

Responsibilities

  • Act as the restaurant expert and lead for the restaurant, overseeing all dining experiences and programs.
  • Employees must, at all times, be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
  • Manage the restaurant outlet, ensuring the successful execution of food and beverage services while maintaining alignment with the resort's brand.
  • Understand the operational and financial aspects of restaurant management, effectively managing budgets and resources.
  • Supervise all F&B personnel.
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely manner.
  • Monitor industry trends, take appropriate action to maintain competitive and profitable operations.
  • Work with other Executive Committee members and keep them informed of F&B issues as they arise.
  • Organize and conduct department meetings on a regular basis.
  • Monitor quality of service and product.
  • Cooperate in menu planning and preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with all local liquor laws, and health and sanitation regulations.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with SOP’s.
  • Interview candidates for front-of-house F&B positions and follow standards for hiring approvals.
  • Conduct and/or attend all required meetings.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a restaurant management role, preferably within a resort or upscale dining environment.
  • Minimun least 2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or food and beverage field. 
  • Genuine passion for exceptional dining experiences and delivering attentive service.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with guests, team members, and partners.
  • Confident, collaborative, and able to contribute to strategic planning and execution.
  • Flexible availability to accommodate special events and operational needs.
  • Must have knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Highgate Hotel Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Comply with Highgate Hotel Standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Long hours sometimes required.
