TradeWinds is seeking an experienced and innovative Director of Programming, Partnerships, and Activations to lead the development and management of a dynamic schedule of activities, events, and entertainment. This role will be responsible for creating memorable guest experiences by designing and executing a variety of programming that appeals to diverse audiences, fostering strategic partnerships, and ensuring high-quality activations.

Responsibilities

Programming and Event Management:

  • Establish a programming vision and overarching strategy for TradeWinds by immersing yourself in the variety of activities, entertainment, culinary experiences available. 
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive schedule of activities, events, and entertainment that cater to a wide range of Guest interests.
  • Coordinate and oversee the execution of events, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and Guest satisfaction.
  • Innovate new programming ideas to keep TradeWinds offerings fresh, exciting, and competitive within the industry.  You are passionate about creating experiences that leave Guests wanting to come back year after year!
  • Design and implement attendance-driving and revenue generating programming, partnerships, and activations.
  • Work with PR and Marketing teams to build, organize, and sustain a strategic local and national event calendar and drive event attendance.
  • Provide Marketing with programming and property details to update all digital platforms.
  • Create and share promotional collateral for increased awareness throughout the resort. 


Partnership Development:

  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with local businesses, vendors, entertainers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes and enhance the resort’s offerings.
  • Collaborate with PR and Marketing to identify and lead partnerships with local and national music, arts, design, fashion, comedy, and retail opportunities at TradeWinds to enhance Guest experience and deliver a high return on investment. 
  • Collaborate with Food & Beverage, Recreation, Spa and Retail departments on sales opportunities as part of enhanced programming.
  • Secure and manage sought after parties with local programming, partnership, and activation vendors.


Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the programming and events budget, ensuring all activities are cost-effective and within financial constraints.
  • Monitor expenses and revenues, providing regular reports to senior management.
  • Seek out sponsorship and funding opportunities to support programming initiatives.


Guest Experience Enhancement:

  • Ensure all programming and activations contribute to an exceptional Guest experience and align with the resort’s brand and values.
  • Gather and analyze guest feedback to continuously improve programming and address any issues in a timely manner for the "Perfect 10" Guest experience. 
  • Implement innovative technologies and trends to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • To understand weekly ranking on Trip Advisor. To communicate with the team the score and find ways of improving TradeWinds position on the Trip Advisor list.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, Business Administration, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning, programming, or a related role within the hospitality or entertainment industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful events and activities. 
  • Strong negotiation and partnership development skills. 
  • A well- established programming, partnerships and activations network on a local and national scale.
  • A consistent and on-the-ground local presence to create, organize and execute partnerships.
  • A healthy knowledge of cultural and experiential trends – especially around restaurants, bars, and hotels.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to hit deadlines.
  • Proven interpersonal communication for creating lasting partnership and programming relationships.
  • Ambitious, highly motivated, and committed to exceptional results.
  • Responsible for communicating guest satisfaction scores with the team, creating action plans to increase scores and come up with ideas to motivate the team.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends.
