Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces to apply paint, stain, and other finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture.
  • Apply to repair, replace, and spackle/sand  sheetrock as needed.
  • Apply Wall Covering i.e wall paper
  • Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces for finish coats.
  • Remove old finishes by stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
  • Cover surfaces with appropriate material for protection during painting and post appropriate paint signs.
  • Skillfully apply caulking and grouting as needed.
  • Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.
  • Maintain work areas neat, organized and safe
  • Effectively operate resort operations devices & software (HotSOS).
  • Follow company procedures and policies.
  • Performs other related job related duties as assigned.
  • Provide effective repairs and first-time resolution of all guestrooms.
  • Resolve customer issues within given guidelines and to customer satisfaction.
  • Protect the guestroom floors, counters, and appliances while working.    
  • Follow safety guidelines/practices             
  • Recognize and identify potential hazards in the property.
  • Communicate and interpret department needs as it relates to job role by positively interacting towards resolutions.
  • Be able to work independently and with minimal to no supervision or support.
  • Able to work in a cohesive environment with all department
  • Hourly pay range: $30.59 - $40.79

Qualifications

  • Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
