Overview

The Room Attendant Extra is responsible for the thorough cleaning of guest rooms throughout the hotel. Participation in general cleaning activities, supportive of hotel objectives by complying with all standards of conduct includes rules, regulations, and policies. Keep the hotel standard of cleanliness in order to provide our customers with clean, organized and pleasant surroundings. Scheduling flexibility is required, with on-call availabiliy.

                   

Responsibilities

  • Clean, dust, polish, and vacuum to make sure guest rooms and bathrooms meet hotel standards
  • Change linens, make beds, and leave the bathroom sparkling
  • Restock all guest room supplies and amenities
  • Organize linen closet, restock cart, and prepare for the shift
  • Greet guests that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hotel housekeeping a plus
  • Basic English communication skills
  • Ability to move, bend, lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-30 pounds
  • Ability to move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift and perform repetitive motions
  • Attention to detail
  • A can-do attitude and a hands-on approach
  • Scheduling flexibility is required, with on-call availabiliy.

The rate of pay for this position shall be dependent upon the experience of the employee in the hotel industry and shall be subject to the terms and conditions of the collective bargaining agreement / the Industry Wide Agreement. – Salary range: $29.15- to $38.87
