The primary role of this position is to support operations of daily events by working with the leadership team. This is an active position as this role includes walking event spaces, supporting event staff and being involved on the floor during events. Secondary responsibilities will be to assist with office operations to include but are not limited to, signs, labels, POS, associates schedules, generating banquet checks and posting checks.

 

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing BEO’s with banquet teams
  • Walking event spaces and monitoring activity on the floor
  • Checking event signage
  • Working with banquet leadership to execute events flawlessly
  • Reviewing menu details and checking labels
  • Conducting sensory walks
  • Assisting with EOM inventory
  • Supervising staff and holding team accountable to set standards
  • Reviewing and posting of banquet checks and revenue reports
  • Communication with associates on daily event reporting such as captains’ reports, consumption reports, etc....
  • Flexible schedule, available holidays and weekends

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills like word and excel
  • Training in Delphi and opera are required (this can be completed upon hiring)
  • Has an understanding of how to read a Banquet Event Order/BEO
  • Inventory experience
  • Basic food knowledge to include food safety and allergies
  • Basic bar knowledge
  • Great communication skills
  • Sanitation skills
  • Ability to conduct staff performance reviews
  • Punctual and has a good sense of timing
  • Ability to work outside in an unpredictable climate
