Overview

The Resort Activities Manager will oversee and coordinate all recreational activities and guest experiences at Tradewinds Island Resorts. This includes planning and executing youth camps & care, poolside entertainment, fitness classes, and family-friendly programs. The role requires leadership, creativity, focus on guest satisfaction and attention to detail. This is a hands-on role that requires working closely with the Beach Services Manager, department Supervisors and the Director of Recreation to ensure a smooth guest experience and operation. 
 

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily recreational activities and events for guests of all ages.
  • Hire, manage and train a team of activity coordinators and entertainers.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with all activity programs.
  • Create and manage activity schedules according to occupancy and budget.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and promote activities. Regularly check GSS reports and enhance operations based on feedback.
  • Work with marketing to promote programs and events.

Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years of experience in event planning, youth programming, or recreational management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Creative, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent training skills. 
  • CPR, First Aid or Lifeguarding certifications are a plus. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple daily activities. 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable with outdoor activities, including walking, standing for extended periods, and working in warm or wet conditions.
  • Ability to interact with guests and staff in an outdoor, beach setting.
  • Able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on programming schedule and needs.
