Overview

As a Food Runner at Graduate Princeton, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by ensuring food and beverages are served promptly, accurately, and with a warm Graduate welcome. You’ll act as the link between our kitchen and dining team delivering dishes, assisting servers, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food and beverages promptly and accurately from kitchen/expediting stations to assigned tables.
  • Assist waitstaff by setting tables, providing necessary utensils, napkins, condiments, and even offering refills.
  • Clear and reset tables, helping maintain cleanliness and flow in the dining area.
  • Act as a liaison between kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring dish accuracy, attention to modifications (e.g., allergies), and seamless communication.
  • Check on guests addressing satisfaction, taking impromptu requests, and reporting any issues to management.
  • Maintain sanitization and safety standards, including proper handling of plateware and cleanliness of service areas.

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality or restaurant experience preferred, but not required

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift/carry up to 35 lbs

  • Positive attitude with a genuine desire to provide excellent guest service

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires
