Overview

Come join Highgate for the summer in one of our dynamic, paid internships! We are currently seeking one Human Resources Intern to support our New York properties. This is a 10-week immersive program designed to give you hands-on experience in hotel Human Resources while working in a fun and fast-paced hospitality environment.

 

Specific property placement will be discussed once an internship offer is extended.

Responsibilities

  • Support the HR Department with daily administrative functions.
  • Assist HR leadership with key responsibilities, including:
  • New hire administration and onboarding
  • Employee relations support
  • Training coordination
  • Employee communications with hotel departments and corporate offices
  • Help maintain HR records and documentation in compliance with company and legal standards.
  • Participate in HR projects that enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
  • Interact with employees across all levels of the hotel to provide HR support in a professional and service-oriented manner.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees and guests.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, warm, and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
