Overview

Come join Highgate for the summer in one of our dynamic, paid internships! We are currently offering an opportunity for a Food & Beverage (F&B) Operations Intern to support our property teams. This 10-week immersive program is designed to provide hands-on experience in hotel food and beverage operations, allowing you to learn about the hospitality industry while working in a fun and fast-paced environment.

 

Specific hotel placement will be discussed once an internship offer is extended.

Responsibilities

  • Gain exposure to daily F&B operations across outlets such as restaurants, bars, banquets, and in-room dining.
  • Assist in overseeing service standards, guest relations, and operational flow.
  • Support managers with scheduling, training coordination, and staff communications.
  • Participate in menu planning discussions, marketing initiatives, and special events.
  • Assist in monitoring inventory, ordering, and cost-control measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Culinary, Sales, Events, and Operations).
  • Shadow F&B leaders and attend professional development sessions as part of Highgate’s internship curriculum.

 

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate student in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field (junior or senior year preferred).
  • Strong interest in food & beverage operations and the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first mindset.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
  • Professional, warm, and enthusiastic demeanor.
