The Food Runner plays a key role in ensuring guests receive their meals promptly and correctly while maintaining the flow between the kitchen and dining room. This position requires strong communication, urgency, and a team-first mindset to support both front- and back-of-house operations.
Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately
Verify plates for presentation, accuracy, and completeness before leaving the kitchen
Communicate clearly with kitchen and service teams to ensure seamless coordination
Assist servers with table maintenance and guest needs as necessary
Describe dishes when delivering to guests and ensure proper placement at the table
Maintain cleanliness of expo line, service stations, and dining areas
Support overall restaurant flow by anticipating needs and responding with urgency
Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred but not required
