Graduate Princeton is seeking a reliable and hardworking Steward to support our culinary team. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in all kitchen and back-of-house areas, including dishwashing, equipment sanitation, and waste removal. The ideal candidate takes pride in creating a clean, safe environment, works well in a fast-paced setting, and understands the important role they play in delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Operate dishwashing equipment to properly clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen and back-of-house areas
Ensure proper storage of clean dishes and equipment
Remove trash, recycling, and compost in accordance with property procedures
Sweep and mop floors, clean drains, and maintain overall sanitation standards
Assist culinary team with basic support tasks as needed
Follow all health, safety, and food handling guidelines
Report maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly
Support the team in maintaining a positive and efficient work environment
Previous steward, dishwasher, or kitchen experience preferred, but not required
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards
Basic understanding of food safety and proper handling procedures
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
