The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director of Human Resources and HR Manager with a variety of Human Resources functions. He/she is also responsible for filling all hourly positions in a timely manner, accurate and timely completion of paperwork, and the understanding and enforcement of company policies.
The Cook is responsible for preparing all food items, based on standardized recipes, for the Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets, while maintaining the highest standards to produce an appealing and appetizing product. He/she is also responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation and safety in the kitchen and work areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost/production ratio.
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the engineering division. In the absence of the Director, the assistant will assume the administrative, financial and operating aspects of the hotel as they relate to engineering.
The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions; reviewing, organizing and compiling management reports on a timely basis and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions. He/she is also responsible for effectively communicating concerns and/or related issues to all levels of management and performing guest service agent duties as required, including check-in, check-out, switchboard operation and reservations.
The Engineering Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the engineering department. In the absence of the Director, the Engineering Manager will assume the administrative, financial and operating aspects of the hotel as they relate to engineering.
At the Homewood Suites Portsmouth, the Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional food service to guests in an efficient and courteous manner within the complimentary breakfast area of a hotel.
The Engineer, Level 1, is responsible for ensuring that the property is maintained in the best possible condition at all times with the least amount of inconvenience to customers and employees.

Transport guests and associates to/from assigned destinations using property vehicle. Document all trips prior to the start of and at the conclusion of each trip. Park vehicle in designated location when not in use. Inspect property vehicles for damage and cleanliness. Check tire pressure and fluid levels for property vehicle, and refuel as necessary. Notify appropriate personnel of any vehicle maintenance needs. Document all vehicle incidents (i.e., damages, accidents) and provide reports of incidents to manager/supervisor.

The Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for the complete set up of the Grab and Go and Bar area. The Attendant is to provide coffee and/or bar service by preparing and serving coffee, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and food items for all guests. The Attendant is responsible for taking guest orders and accepting payment for food and beverages and making proper change for guests and fellow employees. The Attendant is also responsible for the Grab and Go and related seating areas which includes light cleaning, restocking and general upkeep of the area.
The House Attendant is responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all assigned areas and equipment. He/she is also responsible for delivering items to guestrooms (express checkout, newspapers – property specific, etc.).
